Upcycled: T-Shirt ——> Custom Hat
Upon the advice of my dear friend Margaret, I am now listing a custom order on Etsy: send me your used t-shirt and I’ll knit a custom hat out of it.

The hats turn out WAY better than (even I) expected. Soft (the softer the shirt) and stretchy, and good for all-season wear. I love these hats (and I’m my own worst critic).
I listed on Etsy another upcycled cuff. The last one sold (albeit to someone I know — when I created the Etsy shop, I didn’t expect friends and family to buy(!), NO pressure, just FYI).
This one has green and sweet little gold beads.
Finished this upcycled bead cuff today.
I knitted it from a 28-gauge wire (new) and the goldish-yellow beads from a 70s-era evening gown (it has yielded lots of stuff).
Working on the Etsy listing now.
Also started a yellow bonnet last night. Feeling springy.
It’s been gorgeous here in NYC the last few days. So, other than finishing the pink upcycled t-shirt Mohawk hat (it was a custom order - no photo of it on the tike), I’ve knit nothing new.
Tonight, I’ll start a new yarn hat (I have some ideas) or an upcycled bead bangle, perhaps.
(We have been in the park a lot, I’m pleased to report.)
